Child care providers accreditedBy Mary Jane Sullivan,Special to The Standard-Times  WAREHAM -- Wareham
Community Partnerships for Children announces that two local child care
providers recently received their National Association for the Education
of Young Children accreditation. They were Merry Go Round Preschool in the
Multi-Service Center on Marion Road and Wareham Child Care on Cranberry
Highway.
The accreditation ensures that programs are of high quality in areas such
as curriculum, staffing, and health and safety. The Wareham Community
Partnerships grant supports early childhood programs by providing training
and materials to aid programs in obtaining this accreditation. This
project also provides tuition subsidies, parent education, outreach and
family literacy events and is supported by the state Department of
Education.
